One More Reason To Love CBP

Posted by Foobooz on June 23rd, 2008

$6.75 for a beer may not seem like a great deal but it turns out that price makes Citizens Bank Park the cheapest in the majors! In the Bronx you can spend $10 for a Miller Lite.

The article says CBP has a 21oz for $5 or .24/oz.

A $6.75 16oz from the beer guys is .42/oz (nearly double).

Please let me know where the $5 beers are, I’ve never seen them.

The other great thing is that while a Miller Lite costs $6.75, CBP also offers Victory, Flying Fish, and other premium beers for the same price. And they are sold all over the park, not just at one or two stands.

    Truly a great ballpark.

While it is true that CBP sells local micros for $6.75 what you don’t mention is that they are in smaller portions than the $6.75 Miller Light. I don’t know the exact oz’s, but needless to say the cups from the “Brewerytown” stands where they pump out the Micro’s are noticeably smaller, whereas the BudMillerCoors you get at the standard food stands are larger. So even though you are paying the same price you are getting less. Quality vs. Quantity aside, at CBP you are not getting nearly as much for as little as this story reports. I second Rob in wondering where these mythical 21oz. $5 beers reside at CBP. I’m a season ticket holder and have been to games all around the stadium on every level and have never run into to this mythical $5 beer. Hell, beer in Camden at Riversharks games isn’t that cheap!
