Mojito Olympics

Posted by Foobooz on June 3rd, 2008

Mojito Olympics

In just under two weeks the Rum Bar will be hosting the Mojito Olympics on Monday, June 16th at 6pm. The Mojito Olympics are the brainchild of Rum Bar owner Adam Kanter and will feature bartenders from various Philadelphia restaurants competing in three mojito making events.

  • Fastest Muddle – Each bartender will compete to see who can make 10 mojitos the fastest. Points are deducted if they don’t look or taste good.
  • Best Traditional – Bartenders will aim to impress with their take on the mojito using only traditional ingredients.
  • Best In Show – Bartenders will try to wow the judges with their own creation being graded on taste, creativity, appearance and method.

Foobooz Editor Arthur Etchells will be judging along with Lacroix Chef Matthew Levin and Caseyboy from the Preston & Steve Show.

Tickets are $8 per person and include one free mojito, sample of the competitors mojitos plus half-priced mojitos all night.
