Another correction! The catalan express lunch at Amada has gone from $12.50 to $14.50. Such a bummer. I know its only $2 difference, but it just pushes over into too much money for lunch in my budget.

The deal with Capo Giro is that all paninis, salads and pastries are half price after 5pm. This MAY not be true for the 40th street location. When I asked, they seemed confused.

Also, some additions:

Aya’s Cafe (22nd and Arch) and Chris’s Jazz Cafe (15th and Sansom) both have cheap ($5-6) lunch specials. Chris’s also has beer specials during the day—something like fifty cents for a lager.

And don’t forget that Wednesday is half-price can night at Good Dog (15th and Locust)!

As the dollar continues to get squeezed, it’s important to get the most out of yours. Drop by for complimentary apps at the weeknight happy hours of Rae (4:30–7 PM), Alma de Cuba (5–7 PM) and Brasserie Perrier (5–7 PM). Also, Le Bec-Fin, Philly’s No. 2 rated for Food, has been reconfigured from a prix fixe to an à la carte menu, which means that a couple now can do some serious dining for under $100 (plus alcohol and tip).

Adobe cafe has an awesome deal on Mondays and Tuesdays. Two entrees and either a pitcher of beer or a bottle of wine for $30. You can substitute margaritas for $5 more. And the food is DELICIOUS!
