Maia Is Finally Coming

Posted by Foobooz on April 15th, 2008

Maia

We first mentioned Maia back in September of 2006. Well it looks like the Villanova mega-restaurant is finally going to open. They’re even hiring.

May 3rd, Patrick and Terence Feury will open the doors to their 22,000 sqft restaurant, gourmet market and espresso café with a $100 per person open house benefiting several charities.

One thousand tickets to Maia Cares are for sale. In addition to live music visitors will also have a chance to check out many of Maia’s hors d’oeuvres along with selections from Maia’s bar, wine cellar and craft beer list.

Tickets are available through Deb Connor Events (dsconnor@comcast.net).

List of the included bites and more information on the charities after the jump.

Hors d’Oeuvres
Shellbark Farms Goat Cheese Gougeres
Mini Kobe Pastrami Sandwiches with house-made pickles
Alsatian Tarte Flambe with crème fraiche
Cured Wild Striped Bass with Meyer lemon jam and a selection of Local Pennsylvania Cheeses
House-Made Charcuterie

Charities
Beneficiaries of Maia Cares are:  Breastcancer.org, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women and their loved ones navigate the disease from diagnosis to treatment to recovery;  Main Line Health (www.mainlinehealth.org), a network of hospitals and health care facilities offering comprehensive care to residents of the Main Line;  and Elite Companies Charitable Foundation (www.elitefoundation.org), a foundation supporting a number of local efforts that assist underprivileged children and families, including Make a Wish (www.wish.org),  Summer Search (www.summersearch.org), Youth Mentoring Partnership (www.youthmentoringpartnership.org) and Academy in Manayunk (www.aimpa.org).
