How about somewhere in WashWest? With the influx of population thanks to the new condos and renovations, we’re desperately in need of a decent beer bar… something with more substantial food than Tria but less frat-tastic than McGillin’s.

I think that Fairmount would be the obvious choice. It’s the best location to attract tourists and locals. I see this as a potentially huge boon to the city.

East Passyunk duly seconded, Broad Street Dinner local would need to be a complete tear down and build of something the place just doesn’t scream G.L. though the easy access to the BSL does open it up to ease of access. Still should be in more of a “spot” though Devil’s Den isn’t that far from Broad Street Diner …. strength in numbers.

Yeah, cause thats what Fairmount needs more of, beer bars. I lived in Fairmount for years and you can’t walk 20 feet w/o stumbling into a place with craft beer all over the taps. Brigids, Aspen, London, Rembrandts, the Collar, Belgian Cafe, St. Steves… need I go on? Share the wealth! I’d say possibly W. Philly, maybe take over the old Millcreek location. Or maybe E. P’unk, there seems to be a good scene going there and a good beer pub could only help. The S. Broad Diner locale is a pretty solid spot too…

Very exciting – driving out to Lafayette Hill is a chore, but their beer (especially the Chocolate Thunder) is great.

i say somewhere on girard in the olde kensington/yorktown section. there is a lot of vacant real estate there. and theres already a few established restaurants in the area (tiffin, las cazuelas, taco riendo, etc) which proves that the neighborhood can sustain a variety of establishments (in terms of price range and cuisine)…

I second the Fairmount location. There is pleanty of room to fill in the gaps on Fairmount Ave. from 18th st. and on down to the west….

Anywhere near Fairmount would be great. Fairmount has a strong beer scene and seems able to support even more.

Seems like a neighborhood type place, not suitable for Broad Street, Old City, etc.
