Have You Called Yet?

Posted by Foobooz on January 2nd, 2008

Talula’s Table

Talula’s Table, the single table dining experience of Bryan Sikora and Aimee Olexy has opened up reservations for the second half of 2008.

If you feel lucky here’s the number. 610 444 8255. If you want to know what the hoopla is about here is a recent write-up on McDuff’s Food & Wine Trail.

Thanks for the mention, all. I’m afraid all of the publicity, combined with the timing of the article in Sunday’s Inquirer was just a little too successful. Dinners at Talula’s Table are now booked through the end of 2008. Actually, the entire year was booked by 11:00 AM!

Ridiculous, and I say that only because I am 100% bitter that I didn’t grab the opportunity to book for a date in the summer when I was shopping there just a couple weeks ago. The situation is now this:

They’re taking reservations no more than one year in advance. Ergo, if you want dinner on, say, February 12, 2009, start calling at exactly 7:00 a.m. on February 12, 2008, and maybe you’ll get lucky.

On one hand, I’m really happy that Amiee and Bryan have managed to capture lightning in a bottle twice, because they really are terrific and staggeringly talented people. On the other hand, I can’t wrap my mind around the fact that it’s easier to get reservations at Per Se than it is at Talula’s. Hmph.

  3. Jennifer Says:

On and also: they’re not accepting any more names to the waiting list. The list itself was getting ridiculously long, so unless you’re already on it, your only hope is to do the one-year thing described above.
