Dan Gross reports that Wizzards, the University City strip joint that was the scene of a fatal shooting last fall, has a new, equally uninspired name.
The former Signatures at 13th & Locust, which was the source of all sorts of neighborhood hoo-ha, will now become Evolve, a “restaurant and dinner theater.” There’s still all sorts of neighborhood hoo-ha, as one of the principals has a criminal background, which Michael Klein details here.
[Note from the 20th century: before Signatures was Signatures, it used to be a different strip club with the worst name in the history of strip clubs: All in the Family. If you were underage and looking to get served in the early 1990s, you'll remember it well.]
