It’s the “biggest bar night of the year” and you’re out trying to meet all your friends who’ve been out of town. It’s a recipe for settling for the lowest common denominator. It is your job not to give in. If they say Fado, say Jose Pistolas. If they say Blue Martini, say Khyber. If they say McFaddens, say Silk City. If your friends are the dancing types steer them to DJ Deejay’s Beetles & The Stones upstairs at Johnny Brenda’s.
Other things of note, fresh firkin of Sly Fox’s hard-to-get Oatmeal Stout at the Standard Tap and Black Landlord at the North Star.
And of course when you’re done partying, get something in your belly.
