Minar Palace To Reopen

Posted by Foobooz on October 30th, 2007

Minar Palace New Location

Just caught wind of this PhillyBlog thread. The very missed Minar Palace, known for its downright cheap Indian food is reopening by the end of the year.

We have secured a location since July. We have been paying rent but the approval process with the City is taking lots of time. We expect to be up and running by January 1st. Hopefully it will be sooner. The new location will be 1304 Walnut Street. We will begin constructing shortly. I am positive you will enjoy the new atmosphere and same great food. Please spread the word and feel free to check back for further updates.

I loved Minar and was a regular. I wonder about the new location—across the street from Passage to India (upscale, but a great buffet) and a block from the Vegetarian Indian buffet. Hope it does well…they were great.

Passage to India and All the other restaurants in Center City have nothing on Minar. I hope THOSE restaurants dont go out of business when Minar is back!
