Memo To NY: NY <> United States

Ahh, our friends in New York are at it again. This time amNew York is claiming New York is the home to the first Maoz in the United States.

Maoz Though the options may be limited, the sole menu item — falafel — is crisp and delicious. The Union Square location is the first U.S. franchise of a Dutch chain, with more on the way

Of course the first Maoz in the United States actually opened on South Street back in 2004. First it was gastropubs and now this.

   Sorry…amNew York is correct in saying that the Union Square location is the first U.S. “franchise.” The Philly location is actually company owned and operated…there’s a slight difference there.
