Help A Reader Out

Posted by Foobooz on June 1st, 2007

We here at Foobooz love to show off our knowledge, quickly replying to queries for where to spend happy hour or a wedding anniversary but sometimes we get stumped. That’s when we turn to our readers for help.

A reader writes in to say his girlfriend must maintain a strict gluten free diet. He’s looking for a place to take her that has a full gluten free menu.

He says he knows that Buddakan has a menu but is looking for more suggestions.

I hear Jack’s Firehouse can do gluten free, and have several gluten free items on the menu. Call ahead and ask them.

Ted’s Montana grill publishes a nutrition guide for those who need gluten free on there website: http://www.tedsmontanagrill.com/nutrition_gluten_free.html

It shows what you can order and what to say to the server on how to prepare items.

There’s a thread on Chowhound that might help: http://www.chowhound.com/topics/184954

I not aware that these places have formal GF menus, but all are known to prepare items GF upon request:

Bliss, My Thai, Fogo de Chao, Maggiano’s (call ahead to see if they have GF pasta).
