Wow, just wow. Unless things have drastically changed from the last time I went there, it’s not even an outstanding bar for that stretch of South Philly. Maybe it’s time for a return visit.

Don’t get me wrong, Friendly Lounge lives up to its name — great place. I love the huge bicentennial rug above the bar — so very Philly. I’m just kinda miffed that they shafted us otherwise.
