E’s Passyunk is set to open its doors tomorrow and host a grand opening celebration Saturday at noon. Andrew Michaels who has previously worked at Tangerine and Astral Plane is opening the South Philly coffee shop and eatery. On Saturday plan to be there at noon for the dancing dragon and La Colombe coffee. [Feeding Frenzy, City Paper]Drew Lazor’s Feeding Frenzy also notes the “Yellow Bar”, the unnamed G-Ho bar is expecting a February opening and hopefully a chef with “30 years of experience at various Rittenhouse-are eateries.” [Feeding Frenzy, City Paper]

One rumor Foobooz has heard from more than one source and read on PhillyBlog is that the fine folk from Monks, Fergie’s, et al have purchased Fairmount’s Tavern on Green and plan a Monks location there.
