Yards Brewing Co. has a whole bunch of events coming up that are worth note.
On Tuesday from 5 to 9 PM at the Society Hill Hotel there will be an “old school imbhyber” happy hour with discounted Yards beer and hoagie bites.
On Wednesday at the Porterhouse Pub in Lahaska, Yards pairs five courses with fine Porterhouse and Yards brews. $65.
And then on Saturday at the Yards Brewery Rich Wagner will present The Rise and Fall of the Schmidt’s Brewery. It’ll be an educational look at the one time Northern Liberties brewing giant and in addition to the education there will be tastings too!

Course One:
Mixed baby greens tossed with a light lemon-thyme vinaigrette & topped with sweet Bermuda onion, toasted walnuts, proscuitto rosettes & finished with warm, breaded goat cheese medallions – paired with Yards Saison
Course Two:
Butternut Squash Bisque garnished with creme fraiche & toasted pumpkin seeds – paired with Porterhouse Kolsch-style Ale
Course Three:
Angus filet tips pan sauteed with roasted portabella mushrooms & caramelized onions in a Baltic Porter reduction, topped with melted bleu cheese crumbles – paired with Porterhouse Peacekeeper Baltic Porter
Course Four:
Tender New Zealand rack of lamb, herb crusted with a tangy Dijon sauce; oven roasted & served on a mirror of rosemary demi – paired with Yards Poor Richard’s Tavern Spruce
Course Five:
Pumpkin Brulee – paired with Porterhouse Flanders Ale
