The Inn at St. Peter’s Village

Posted by Foobooz on November 20th, 2006

Inn at St. Peter's Village

Craig LaBan heads down some windy unmarked roads looking for a good meal in northern Chester County. The twists and turns wind up being worth it as LaBan finds the Inn at St. Peter’s Village, a rehabbed Victorian inn at the edge of French Creek.

The Inn at St. Peter’s Village is not a bargain. But its blemishes are easily fixed, especially since the menu seems to change weekly. And there is already so much to appreciate about this promising young venue, including professional service, a smart little cellar (all 70 wines under $100), and a creative pastry chef in Peter Scarola, who makes marvelous sorbets and tarts. It seems obvious this storied inn is finally headed toward its happy fate as a touristic paradise.
