Trio

“Trio is a rarity in this era of the super-hot corner BYO: a neighborhood place truly intended for its neighbors, with entrees that show some style and effort, but priced at mostly less than $20.”
The pad Thai is among the city’s best and an excellent choice either to eat in or take out. The jumbo shrimp “exuded the minty perfume of Thai basil.” And the sesame-seared tuna had a “rare sense of flavor balance.”
Finish it all off with the creme brulee and you’ll be saying, “what a lucky neighborhood.

Just ate there tonight. Let’s just say I have a new reason to go to the Fairmount neighborhood. Food was excellent, especially the salmon glazed with dijon sake sauce and the “Beggar’s Pouches”- four crispy rolls of tightly packed shrimp and crab meat. Lemon Grass soup was extra spicy and tasty. Service was pleasant and, given the great weather, we ate out on the deck with a partial view of the Philly skyline. Great ambience!
Highly recommended
