Another Reason To Visit Manayunk?

Posted by Foobooz on June 21st, 2006

Manayunk Bridge

A couple weeks ago we wrote that the only weekend of the year it was cool to be in Manayunk was the bike race weekend. We thought it was a witty line and well, pretty much accurate. But that drew the ire of at least one Foobooz reader, who reacted angrily in the comments> and suggested Castle Roxx is the place to be with their $1 drafts and the other specials.
Well maybe the
2006 Manayunk Arts Festival can make Manayunk cool. 275 artists showcasing an impressive variety of work including jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, photography, painting, glass, and mixed media. It’s this weekend and honestly, worth the stroll.

  1. Smokin Joe Frazer Says:

I’ll be visiting Manjunk this weekend for the festival. It’s the one reason to ever visit the neighborhood, unless you enjoy cheap beer, cheap women, and dudes that just look like they rolled out of a fraternity house.

  2. peeper Says:

    HAHAHAHAHA. Manjunk…that’s great.

Somebody needs to tell the residents of Manjunk that it’s not a college town and their paychecks can be spent on things other than beer.
